Overview

The Training Specialist (TS) under the direct guidance of the Organizational and Development Specialist II, is instrumental in supporting the delivery of dynamic and high impact trainings to providers of Vocational and Day Habilitation services across NYS.

 

Pay rate for this position:  $25.60 / hr - $26.55 / hr

 

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above range represents the organization's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting

Responsibilities

  1. Provide statewide (NYS) training sessions virtually and in person.
  2. Collaborate in dissemination of technical assistance materials to support organizational development with Vocational and Day Habilitation service providers.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree required, Bachelors Degree preferred
  • 1 to 3 years of experience delivering training to groups of varying sizes
  • Demonstrated ability to use and design Microsoft PowerPoint presentations
  • Demonstrated involvement with Vocational and Day Habilitation services for individuals with ID/DD
  • Demonstrated training delivery skills (evaluation samples and training audition required)
  • Ability to travel within New York state (may include overnight travel), and make related travel arrangements
  • Ability to deliver engaging trainings in a virtual environment
