Overview

Supports Director of Quality Advancement and Associate Director of Quality Advancement in overseeing all operations related to quality services and regulatory standards throughout the Agency. These include internal Compass surveys/audits and investigations related to the 624/625 regulations. Supports quality advancement team, as well as assigned programs and/or services within the agency, on continuous quality improvement efforts.  To support and promote the mission, vision and values of Heritage Christian Services, Inc.

 

Pay for this position:  $31.25 / hr - $33.66 / hr

 

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above range represents the organization's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting

Responsibilities

  • Assist with monitoring POCAs relative to evidence being submitted; following up with responsible parties regarding needed evidence; monitoring timely completion of evidence.
  • Complete program/service surveys and provides feedback to program staff.
  • Conducts 624/625 incident investigations as assigned.
  • Assists with training on concepts of remediation, including what is thorough and complete remediation.
  • Assists with verification of remediation at programs/sites.
  • Assists with editing of investigations, providing feedback and coaching to investigators, as well as communicating any trends or systemic concerns to DQA (and incident management specialist, as appropriate).
  • Serve as a resource and guide for support relative to tasks/duties.
  • Monitoring and oversight of unusual occurrences, and unusual med situations, as assigned.
  • Responsible for trend reports, minimally semi-annually. for assigned sites relative to unusual occurrences and unusual med situations.
  • Participate in administrative supervised evacuation drills at programs, as assigned.
  • Assists with QA afterhours on call rotation, as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Sound knowledge of NYS OPWDD rules and regulations and Agency policies and procedures. Demonstrated ability to monitor agency/employee compliance.
  • Must have at least two years’ experience working in a Quality Advancement/Assurance position.
  • Must have at least one-year experience as a fully trained investigator.
  • Bachelor’s degree within a human service related field preferred.
  • Experience and knowledge of OPWDD regulations/survey protocols required.
  • Must be flexible to work evenings and weekends when necessary.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills, excellent organization, written and verbal skills. 
  • Must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple details/tasks, provide effective feedback and effectively respond to/navigate challenging situations.
  • Ability to effectively present information to audiences with a variety of knowledge/skill levels.
  • Valid driver’s license that is in compliance with Heritage Christian Services’ motor vehicle record standards, and reliable transportation to and from work.
