Pay for this position is: $62,405.00/ year

 

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above range represents the organization's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Responsibilities

  1. Manages employee performance by clearly defining job responsibilities and standards, providing clear, thorough, and timely feedback; and addressing performance problems promptly
  2. Training and development of supervisory and management skills of mid-level managers in the program
  3. Support employees in the creation and implementation of their development plan; after three months and annually thereafter
  4. Assures employees participate in Agency required and OPWDD mandated training
  5. Ensures self and staff understand the Agency’s mission, vision, values and workplace priorities; and their relationship to each employee’s work
  6. Understands the policies in the Employee Handbook and Supervisor’s Manual and implements accordingly
  7. Conduct monthly staff meetings; including preparation of agenda
  8. Conduct monthly management team meetings
  9. Develops and oversees implementation of individuals' program plans, including but not limited to: habilitation plans, behavior support plans, individual plans of protection, and individual service plans focused on assisting in improving their quality of life in a way that has meaning for each of them
  10. Monitor documentation of service plans and other necessary documentation
  11. To be responsible for fire safety to include regular fire drill, testing alarms and fire extinguishers
  12. Serve as primary contact with family members, service coordinators, clinicians, and day programs concerning individuals’ Individual Service Plan and integrate goals into residential habilitation plan
  13. Administer medications in accordance with Heritage Christian Services Medication policy
  14. Attend all scheduled training required by Heritage Christian Services. To participate in in-service sessions and other staff training sessions, implementing new procedures and employing SCIP-R techniques as necessary
  15. Monitors the safe and efficient use and maintenance of program facilities, equipment and property. Utilizes team members and Agency resources to maintain property to Agency standards
  16. Complete Compass tools according to site schedule; including identifying deficiencies and creating a plan of corrective action
  17. Maintain the individuals’ personal funds in accordance with Agency policy
  18. Responsible for oversight of the budget associated with the program; including petty cash, OTPS, payroll hours and community allowance
  19. Assist in the screening of possible candidates for residential placement as needed

Qualifications

  • Prefer Bachelor's degree in human services
  • Minimum one year experience in direct support is required
  • Must demonstrate outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated organizational skills
  • Ability to make sensitive management decisions, remaining objective even when dealing with emotional topics such as personnel issues, to accomplish program objectives
  • Ability to create and maintain a positive, inclusive culture based upon respect, which builds a diverse staff, builds organizational pride, and ensures high performance
  • Ability to breakdown clinical care plans in a way that staff can understand and implement
  • Ability to demonstrate sensitivity to and respect for the diverse cultural backgrounds and practices of individuals, families, regulatory agencies and staff
  • Demonstrated ability to assess, monitor and evaluate needs and progress in program
  • Experience with Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Valid driver’s license that meets Heritage Christian motor vehicle standards
  • Physical ability to lift over 50 pounds and provide assistance to people who require assistance with transfers
