Overview

This position has the shared responsibility for supervising the service delivery of community habilitation, in-home respite, site-based respite, Customized Residential Programs, and self-directed services.  To act as a resource for individuals, their families, and support staff in creating and maintaining a way of life that fosters self-reliance, encourages growth and maximizes interdependence. Pay for this position:  $60315 / yr - $66424 / yr

 

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above range represents the organization's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting

Responsibilities

  1. Along with the Director of Customized Support, provide supervision and oversight of customized supports team, community habilitation, and customized residential options. Primary party responsible for oversight of site-based and in-home respite programs. This includes supervision of Customized Support Coordinators and assistants, FI Representatives, FI Coordinators, and Brokers and responsibility to evaluate them on a regular basis.
  2. To maintain a small caseload of FI cases in accordance with the FI Coordinator responsibilities.
  3. To maintain a small broker caseload in accordance with the brokerage MOU.
  4. To assume responsibility for tracking compliance standards of team members in various programs.
  5. Support individuals and their Circle of Support/Planning Team in person centered planning and thinking.
  6. Engage in relationships with individuals, their families/COS and support staff based on mutual respect and compassion.
  7. Foster the philosophy of self-direction through active listening and establishment of outcomes based on informed choice and supported decision making.
  8. Facilitate real life problem solving and conflict resolution as needed with individuals receiving community based supports.
  9. Responsible for oversight/provision of job tasks including:
    • Documentation and billing in accordance with regulation and associated ADMs
    • Payroll and HR functions for self-hire, respite, and community habilitation staff
    • Scheduling and supervision of staff working in the Customized Residential Options
    • Education and training for employees associated with the Customized Residential Options
  10. To participate in other responsibilities as determined by their supervisor.
  11. To maintain fiscal responsibility with all budgets associated with program, e.g. petty cash, mileage, etc., including attending regular financial meetings.
  12. To complete auditing responsibilities for the program (i.e. compass tools and monthly billing reviews).
  13. To ensure that all aspects of individual care and business conduct are performed in compliance with our mission statement, policies and procedures, and applicable governmental laws, rules and regulations. To educate direct support professionals about the agency Compliance Plan; and to report any detected non-compliance to the Compliance Officer.

Qualifications

  • Required to have experience in a human service field and at least one-year experience in working with people with developmental disabilities
  • Prior experience as a Fiscal Intermediary Coordinator or coordination of community services required
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred; Minimum of High School diploma or high school equivalency
  • Must show evidence of supervisory and administrative skills
  • A valid, New York state driver’s license in compliance with Heritage Christian Services’ motor vehicle record standards
