Overview

As a Painter, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring a smooth, high-quality finish in residential spaces. Duties include inspecting and preparing walls, ceilings, and trim; selecting and mixing paints; and applying coatings with precision and efficiency. You will maintain a clean and safe work environment, protect household furnishings, and ensure all work meets quality standards.

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above range represents the organization's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting

Responsibilities

  • Prepare interior surfaces for painting by washing, patching holes, sanding, and priming.
  • Apply paint, stain, and coatings using brushes, rollers, and sprayers.
  • Protect non-painted surfaces with drop cloths, painter’s tape, and coverings.
  • Match paint colors and apply uniform coats with attention to detail.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas and ensure tools and supplies are properly stored.
  • Communicate with clients and supervisors regarding progress and any necessary changes.
  • Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate protective gear.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a residential or interior painter (2+ years preferred).
  • Familiarity with painting tools, techniques, and materials.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce neat, professional results.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina to stand, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience working in occupied homes with professionalism and discretion.
  • Basic knowledge of drywall repair or minor carpentry is a plus.
  • Customer service experience preferred.
