Springdale Farm Animal Farmhand

The Animal Farmhand provides care to the animals at Springdale Farm. 

Pay for this position:  $19.00/hr

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above range represents the organization's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting

• Animal care; includes feeding, cleaning pens, pitching manure, stall care.
• Work with the veterinarian as needed.
• Trim hooves and provide animals medicine to deworm the animals every three months.
• Engage in positive interactions with people who visit the farm.
• Conduct tours of the Dairy barn with Farm guests.
• Complete a variety of maintenance tasks which may include lawn and garden care, cleaning dairy barn, rest rooms, shoveling and snow blowing.
• Operate tractor to complete farming tasks, which includes spreading manure.
• Money handling as needed

• Experience with animal caretaking and general farm work
• Physically able to lift 50 pounds with no assistance
