Overview

You will be an advocate and voice as people exercise informed decision making in regards to their health needs. And you will be an ally as they communicate their wants and needs to others.  The medical liaison is a hands-on professional that has a direct role in supporting the health and wellness of others.  The medical liaison is also responsible to support the team in meeting the health and medical needs of the people whom they support.

 

The start pay for this position: $22.10/hr

 

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above range represents the organization's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting

Responsibilities

  1. Perform responsibilities of direct support staf
  2. Administer medications in accordance with Heritage Christian Services Medication Policy
  3. Attend all scheduled training and to participate in in-service sessions and other staff training sessions, implementing new procedures and employing SCIP-R techniques as necessary
  4. Schedule and assist individuals with medical appointments
  5. Communicate medical information to individual, team members, clinical staff, and family members
  6. Write or revise individual specific med sheets as needed
  7. Responsible for Physician’s Orders Sheets and transcribing new orders
  8. Responsible for maintaining a two-week supply of meds and supplies in the home at all times
  9. Monitoring expiration dates of medications
  10. Assure the safe transportation of individuals to and from social events, errands and other necessary appointments using home or agency vehicle

Qualifications

 

  • Must demonstrate outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated organizational skills
  • Valid driver’s license that meets Heritage Christian motor vehicle standards
  • Physical ability to lift over 50 pounds and provide assistance to people who require assistance with transfers
