    The Sales Manager is a key position for the Springdale Farm Conference Center and is responsible for proactively soliciting appropriate business opportunities through a combination of tele-prospecting and direct sales to achieve revenue goals.  This person will be expected to identify, meet with and solicit clients to utilize the Conference Center and Springdale Farm’s outdoor facilities.  

    Responsibilities

    The primary responsibility of the sales manager is to develop existing business and solicit new facility rental business through lead generation and sales marketing. The sales manager solicits new customers through traditional and non-traditional sales techniques. Other important duties include booking, selling, planning and coordinating all special social events while assuring the highest level of customer service. Generating revenue, establishing new accounts, monitoring booking space, booking repeat business while keeping quality consistently high, conducting sales presentations and sales calls also falls under the purview of a sales manager job.

    • Meets sales goals as outlined
    • Conducts facility tours for potential customers
    • Completes weekly sales call reports
    • Maintains detailed account files
    • Responsible for development and execution of action plan outlining planned sales activities
    • Effectively develop relationships within community to strengthen and expand customer base
    • Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers
    • Creates customer correspondence as required (sales agreements, proposals, etc)

    Qualifications

    • Highly motivated and a self-starter
    • Strong sales and leadership skills
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Excellent written communication skills
    • Must have exceptional attention to details, deadlines and persistent follow up skills
    • Previous sales experience
    • Must be familiar with the local Finger Lakes market
    • Bachelor's degree preferred
    • Valid NYS Driver License
