  • Overview

    The Staff Accountant positon will assist with monthly responsibilities for the Self-Direction program. They will also be responsible for monthly entries, quarterly reconciliations and reviewing of financials for Community Habilitation, In-Home Respite and CRO programs. To promote and support the mission, vision, and values of Heritage Christian Services, Inc.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist with creating and sending monthly expense reports and start up expense reports to the circle of support
    • Assist with maintaining systems to ensure accurate expense reports for self-directed participants. Including budget uploads and access databases updates for new or amended budgets
    • Assist with monthly responsibilities for the Self-Direction program, including monthly entries and reviews billing data
    • Calculating rental amounts for annual lease updates for CRO homes
    • Analyzing financials, participate in financial meetings with program directors, and assist with annual budgeting for Community Habilitation, In-Home Respite and CRO programs
    • Quarterly reconciliations and reports for Community Habilitation, In-Home Respite and CRO programs
    • Maintain self-directed housing subsidies and communicate any changes to Accounts Payable

    Qualifications

    • BA/BS in Accounting, Business, or Finance; or 3 years related experience required
    • Detail oriented with excellent time management and organizational skills.
    • Team player with excellent communication skills
    • Ability to interact with and work with multiple departments.
    • Excellent Computer Skills, working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Great Plains, Excellent with Excel and Access Database.
