    Do you want to work with purpose and meaning while having flexible hours?  The volunteer coordinator is part of a dynamic team and works to recruit, train, and maintain volunteer support to aid in the mission of Heritage Christian Services.


    1. Responsible for recruiting and retaining volunteers through interviewingand recognition for ongoing and one-time events
    2. Writes the Spirit Newletter Volunteer Spotlight
    3. Spearheads new volunteer initatives
    4. Prospects and cultivates volunteers to graduate from giving time, to talent to treasure
    5. Responsible for communication with workforce development to ensure appropriate criminal background checks are completed on volunteers that have regular and substantial unrestricted contact with the people we support
    6. Support Advancement team with events and other duties as assigned


    • Excellent writing, communications, oragnizational and interpersonal skills
    • Proficieny in donor database software and Microsoft Office applications
