  • Overview

    Working under the VP Operations (WNY), has primary responsibility for the operation of the day service programs delegated to him/her.  Provides oversight and guidance to the day services managers, Educators and Senior Direct Support Professionals, ensuring administrative expectations are relayed and carried out in each program.  To support and promote the mission, vision, and values of Heritage Christian Services, Inc.

    Responsibilities

    1. Responsible for the oversight and supervision of the Day Habilitation Managers, Educators and Senior Direct Support Professionals
    2. To facilitate education and training for Day Habilitation Managers, Educators and Senior Direct Support Professionals
    3. To encourage professional development for the employees at the programs she/he supervises.
    4. To participate in and or be involved with Team meetings to ensure productivity and follow through for the managers.
    5. To ensure health and safety issues of the programs and participants are addressed and met.
    6. To meet with managers regularly to discuss performance, support professional development and provide supervision to ensure Agency policies and procedures are being met.
    7. To participate, if appropriate as determined by the Director of Day Services, in in-service sessions, staff meetings and other individual or staff related meetings.
    8. To ensure that the Agency Policy and Procedures are represented appropriately in each program.
    9. To facilitate a philosophy within service delivery that supports: self direction, community participation and contribution, productively, and full citizenship.
    10. To ensure that all aspects of individual care and business conduct are performed in compliance with our mission statement, policies and procedures, and applicable governmental laws, rules and regulations.  To educate employees about the agency Compliance Plan; and to report any detected non-compliance to the Compliance Officer.

    Qualifications

    • Prefer two years experience in leadership position within a human services field that provides for people with developmental disabilities. 
    • Prefer Bachelor’s degree of Science or Arts in/or relating to Human Services, Management or Behavioral Science.
    • Demonstrates solid verbal and written communication skills
    • A valid NYS driver’s license that is in compliance with Agency standards
