    Expand your knowledge of mental health supports as we work alongside counselors and psychiatrists to help people decrease symptoms and increase positive skills.

     

    Join a team who explores creative and non-traditional behavior supports, always with an emphasis on helping people be the best they can be.

    Qualifications

      • LEVEL  1
      • Have at least a Masters degree from a program in a clinical and/or treatment field of psychology, social work, school psychology, or applied psychology as it relates to human development and clinical interventions, and have had documented training in assessment techniques and behavioral support plan developments; or
      • A National Board certification in behavior analysis (BCBA) and a Master’s degree in:
        • Behavior analysis; or
        • A field that closely related to clinical or community psychology that is approved by the OPWDD; or
        • A New York State license in mental health counseling; and
      • have at least 5 years of experience:
      • working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities, including the development, implementation, and monitoring of behavioral support plans, and/or
        •  Providing supervision and training to others in the implementation of behavior support plans.

       

      • Valid driver’s license that is in compliance with Heritage Christian Services’ motor vehicle record standards.

      • LEVEL  2
      • Must have a BCBA and a Master's degree in:
        • Behavior analysis; or 
        • a field closely related to clinical or community psychology which is approved by OPWDD; OR have either:
          • A Master's degree in a clinical or treatment field in psychology, social work, school psychology, applied psycology as it relates to human development and clinical interventions, or a related human services field,; or
          • a New York State license in Mental Health Counseling; and 
          • Have or obtain OPWDD-approved specialized training or experience in assessment techniques and behavioral support plan development; or
          • have provided behavioral services for an agency in the OPWDD system as of, and continuously since 12/31/2012; and
          • either:
          • is actively working toward a Master's degree in an applied area of psychology, social work, or special education; or
          • completes at least one graduate level course in an applied health service are of applied psychology, social work, or special education each year.
      • Valid driver’s license that is in compliance with Heritage Christian Services’ motor vehicle record standards.
