Heritage Christian Services is seeking a detail oriented staff accountant. In this role you will be responsible for providing accounting and finance support to Expressive Beginnings Child Care centers.

  1. Provide financial oversight of the complete revenue cycle of Expressive Beginnings Child Care.
    • Enter payments into the customer accounts
    • Reconcile payments and receipt of cash and checks to bank deposits
    • Monitor customer accounts to ensure timely remittance
  2. Post weekly tuition.
  3. Enter weekly ACHs.
  4. Post payroll to the General Ledger.
  5. Send and reconcile monthly DSS billings.
  6. Approve check requests/monthly bills.
  7. Reconcile monthly credit card expense reports.
  8. Post monthly journal entries.
  9. Prepare quarterly reconciliations for various accounts (cash, prepaid, AR).
  10. Assist with the preparation of the annual operating budget and forecasting.
  11. Assist with the monthly financial analysis of actual results versus operating budget/forecast.
  12. Communicate with Center Directors and families when necessary.



  • Detail oriented with excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to interact with and work with multiple departments
  • Excellent Computer Skills, working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Great Plains, Excellent with Excel and Access Database
  • Prefer Associates degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance, and two years’ experience
  • Reliable transportation to and from work, which may include the need to be at multiple locations in one day
