Heritage Christian Services is seeking candidates for the Director of Residential Services position. The Director is responsible for administrative oversight for the residential homes in the Western New York region, including Erie and Niagara Counties. Responsible for the coordination of services and assuring records, services and supports are maintained in compliance with all program, agency standards, and all applicable State and Federal regulations.

1. Oversees the operations of the residential homes in the region assigned; which includes providing quality services and meeting Heritage Christian Services and all applicable State and Federal regulations. 
2. Develops and executes strategic vision and direction for the department, in alignment with Agency strategic map. Responsible for carrying out projects in the strategy map and for ensuring ownership and involvement with teammates supervised.
3. Provides ongoing supervision, evaluation, training and coaching to the Associate Directors of Residential Services and the Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional.  Responsible for developing and monitoring metrics that inform Agency standards and business practices.
4. Responsible for communicating with key stakeholders, which may include people supported, families, Agency leadership, managers and clinicians, as we strive for strong alignment in carrying out the Agency mission.  
5. Engages in meaningful and collaborative relationship management with other Agency directors and leaders.
6. Ensures compliance with the Agency Compass plan and is actively engaged with the Agency’s Person-Centered Excellence plan with the Center for Quality and Leadership (CQL).
7. Assures that services to people supported in the residential program are provided with a person-centered approach that meets or exceeds the Home and Community Based Waiver Service requirements, OPWDD regulations, and applicable State and Federal laws.
8. Responsible for ensuring residential properties and the physical plant meet Heritage Christian quality standards.
9. Leads the residential team with capital budgeting process.
10. Assist in the development of the annual budget for residential services.
11. Serves as a positive role model for direct support staff and individuals served. Interacts with others in a way which will assist direct support staff in developing behaviors, skills and attitudes necessary for success.
12. Develops, in collaboration with team members, policies and procedures and assures that applicable policies and procedures are carried out.
13. Oversee the coordination of individual’s admission, movements, and discharge for residential services.

• Five years of experience in a leadership position within a human services field that provides services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services field
• Required to meet requirements as a Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP)
• Demonstrates exemplary verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrates respect in all matters related to diversity and inclusion, and treats people supported, families and co-workers equitably
• Ability to make sensitive management decisions, maintain composure and remain objective even when dealing with emotional topics, and facilitate crucial conversations when needed
• A valid NYS driver’s license that is in compliance with Agency standards
