Overview

Heritage Christian Services is seeking an engaging and self-motivated nurse educator(R.N) to provide top quality education and training to our team of dedicated professionals. In this role as Nurse Educator (R.N), you will be responsible for designing, planning, and implementing staff education and training programs with an emphasis on clinical education and skills competency of nurses and direct support staff.

Responsibilities

  1. Design, plan, coordinate and implement staff education and training programs.
  2. Evaluate, revise, and continuously improve training and educational curricula to meet the evolving needs of the agency and strive to improve the quality of support provided to individuals we serve.
  3. Ensure the curricula are up to date and in alignment with agency and regulatory standards.
  4. Assess the learning needs of adult learners and tailor educational opportunities to meet diverse learning styles and ensure effective learning.
  5. Enhance the learning experience and foster new skill development, utilizing a variety of training techniques and methods of instruction.
  6. Monitor employee compliance with annual competencies and skill attestation.
  7. Collaborate with Director of Nursing to develop and facilitate the orientation process of all new nurses.

Qualifications

  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred: minimum of Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required (R.N)
  • Must possess current valid license as a registered nurse in the state of New York
  • 2-5 years’ experience working as a registered nurse in a clinical setting
  • Preferred experience teaching adult learners
  • Must possess valid basic life support (BLS) certification
  • Strong oral /written communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

 

Pay range for the position is $70000 - $75000 / year
