Overview

The Director of Talent Acquisition is responsible for the implementation of the agency’s recruitment and retention strategy.  To support the mission, vision and values of Heritage Christian Services, Inc.

 

Pay for the position is $75000 / year

Responsibilities

  1. Serve as a trusted advisor proactively consulting business leaders on short and long-term hiring goals, increase diverse candidate talent pipelines, develop and execute talent acquisition strategies that deliver results.
  2. Work to increase candidate pipelines for all positions across the agency,
  3. Design, measure, manage, review, and improve recruiting metrics.
  4. Coach recruiters working with them to develop and improve sourcing strategies, and candidate pipelines. Build an onboarding program for new recruiters along with a tool for current team members on how to effectively communicate the agency’s employer brand to current team members.
  5. Utilize data to make data-driven decisions to optimize and inform decisions that impact recruiting process improvements and efficiencies across the agency.
  6. Develop and launch programs that include recruiter scorecards, organization hiring reviews and candidate experience measurements.
  7. Along with recruiters and marketing professionals, design and implement a sourcing strategy for direct support and non-direct support candidates, continuing to enable the team to maintain a proactive approach.
  8. With key stakeholder groups, build on the agency’s employer brand and assist in promoting the brand internally and externally in various media and platforms.
  9. Responsible for identifying candidates for open positions in addition to determining qualifications, interviewing and hiring of candidates.
  10. Oversee the verification of candidate credentials through background checks, reference checks and other positional appropriate screening.
  11. Assist in the on-boarding of new employees through education and training in new hire policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required
  • 5+ years of talent acquisition experience required; 3 years of management experience.
  • Strong data and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of iCIMS, ADP, HireVue, Microsoft Teams, Teamwork, and SharePoint preferred.
  • Broad knowledge of federal, state and local labor laws, practices and procedures, and current best practice pertaining to talent acquisition.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the issues surrounding access, equity, diversity, inclusion, implicit bias, and institutional racism.
  • Must demonstrate excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving and organizational skills. Strong attention to detail and follow-through required. Proven ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and build effective working relationships with colleagues and staff. Acceptance of a variety of lifestyles, behaviors, and cultural, and spiritual practices.
  • Experience analyzing, creating, and evaluating policies and procedures and formulating recommendations.
  • Demonstrate leadership abilities and have previous experience working independently and managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • A valid NYS driver’s license that complies with Agency standards
