Overview

Heritage Christian Services is seeking candidates for the After School Respite Program Manager position. In this role you will be responsible for the oversight of the after school Respite Programs.  Provides oversight and guidance to the program staff, ensuring administrative expectations are relayed and carried out in each program.  

 

Pay for this position is: $18.75 / hr - $19.31 / hr

 

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above range represents the organization's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting

Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for the oversight and supervision of the Direct Support Staff at the after school respite program.
  2. Provide direct care at program sites.
  3. Provide virtual services when necessary.
  4. Assist with other hourly Respite programs as needed.
  5. Ensure current respite application and applicable documents for all students enrolled in the program.
  6. Oversee program OTPS budgets by utilizing all available resources (e.g. Foodlink).
  7. Ensure that scheduled students are in attendance each day.
  8. Oversee daily and weekly staff schedule to provide proper supervision and support to all students.
  9. Ensure health and safety issues of the program site and respite participants are addressed and met.
  10. Meet with Direct Support Staff regularly to discuss performance and provide supervision to ensure agency policies and procedures are being met.
  11. Complete DSP Core Competencies evaluations for all staff as outlined by OPWDD.
  12. Communicate with others who share program space to maintain a clean and appropriate program space and work environment.
  13. Ensure all staff maintain required program and Agency regulated trainings and inservices.
  14. Ensure billing is completed, checked for accuracy and submitted in a timely manner.
  15. Provide transportation as needed in agency vehicles.
  16. Ensure that the agency policy and procedures are implemented and followed in each program.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of High School diploma or high school equivalency; college experience preferred
  • Valid driver’s license that is in compliance with Heritage Christian Services’ motor vehicle record standards, and reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Must be a good communicator with strong verbal and written skills.
  •  Ability and temperament to work effectively with people with developmental disabilities is required. 
  • Physical ability to lift and assist people with any needed personal care; ability to follow through with SCIP-R physical intervention training procedures as needed.
  • The ability to effectively communicate with individuals to identify goals and how to best support his or her needs.
