Overview

Heritage Christian Stables is a therapeutic riding program for children and adults, accredited by PATH Intl. (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International). With the assistance of highly skilled riding instructors and hundreds of dedicated volunteers, this program provides an exciting opportunity for physical, mental, emotional and spiritual growth. The stables maintenance assistant, in conjunction with the Program Manager, Stables Director and Facilities Coordinator, is responsible for upkeep of the facilities, and general well-being of horses.

 

Pay rate for this position:  $15.45 / hour

 

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above range represents the organization's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting

Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for daily care of horses (feeding/turn in/turn out, etc…)
  2. Cleaning barn and stalls
  3. Closing of barn at end of shift including security of facilities
  4. Seasonal maintenance of property
  5. Provide medical care to horses as prescribed
